USWO STAFF AND OXFAM NOVIB GLOBAL FUND G.F Y 2 CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM

USWO Harg:- During 6 months attachment with USWO Civil Society Organization, Amina M. Rodal - A local consultant and trainer in organizational development from Oxfam Novib has assisted the organization in the production of Internal System Policies and Procedures "8 ISPP" Manuals, three years strategic plan and provided training both in filling up Organizational Development And Training "ODAT" GAPS, Organizational Best practices and HIV/AIDS awareness.

USWO was established in 2003 by youth voluntaries. Its main objective is to contribute to the wellbeing and development of minority youth and to fight against all forms of discrimination, injustice and inequality. It is based and mainly operates in Somaliland regions.

This program was part of Oxfam Novib SOCSIS GF year 2 in collaboration with SOLNAC and is meant to build the capacity of the CSOs in the areas of OD and HIV/AIDS awareness.

In October 2006, ODAT 1 Survey was conducted and now after five months of attachment, ODAT 2 was conducted. Due to ODAT GAPS the consultant delivered OD, ISPP and HIV/AIDS trainings, the result had shown that the USWO CSO has made considerable improvement in the organizational development ISPP and HIV/AIDS Education. The ODAT GAPS of October 2006 fieldwork as well as other organizational inconsistency were removed through training.     

USWO CSO with the help of the consultant has produced 8 ISPP Manuals, which was shared with Oxfam Novib. For more information contact with:
